Eligibility
A person who has been awarded a doctorate or a foreign qualification deemed to be the equivalent of a doctorate, in a subject within history or behavioural science that is relevant for the position, qualifies for employment as a postdoctoral researcher. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time at which the appointment decision is made.

Proficiency in written and spoken Swedish and or English is also required, as is a good ability to collaborate with others. Swedish is the main working language at the department, but English is also used when necessary.

Additional useful qualifications
Since appointment as a postdoctoral researcher is a career-development position for junior researchers, we are primarily interested in applicants who completed their doctoral degree no more than three years before the application deadline. The plan will be assessed with regard to the quality and feasibility of the proposed research, the chosen topic’s relevance to school-related history didactics, and the degree of originality. Importance will also be given to research expertise demonstrated by independent research production including the PhD thesis.
