Postdoctoral position (2 years) in mathematics education

The Department of Science and Mathematics Education announces a postdoctoral position in mathematics education. Application deadline is 2017-06-15.

Research focus

Mathematics education research concerns teaching and learning of mathematics. Research at Umeå University (www.umu.se) is conducted interdisciplinary within the Umeå mathematics education research centre (UMERC, www.ufm.umu.se), which is one of the Nordic countries largest mathematical education research environments.

The research is aimed at mathematics education, but the postdoctor is free to choose the focus and delimitation. The postdoctor is expected to collaborate with one or more of the research groups (www.ufm.umu.se/forskning/grupper) or with individual researchers (ww.ufm.umu.se/om-ufm/personal) in a substantial part of the work. However, there is also a possibility within the position to carry out individual mathematics education research projects.
