The Faculty of Medicine, which consists of 12 departments, is responsible for biomedical research and courses in the field of nursing and health care and has an extensive research and graduate education in more than 80 subjects.
The Department of Molecular Biology is looking for 2 amanuensis on 20% for a temporary employment of 4 months starting in September 2026 or upon agreement.
The work as amanuensis will consist of making the annual chemical inventory in KLARA, as well as
assisting with the sorting, and cataloguing of old and unused chemicals and preparing these chemicals for regulated disposal in accordance with Umeå University's chemical security guidelines. Additional tasks related to chemical management within the department may also be assigned.

Employment as an amanuensis according to the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5. Eligible for employment as an amanuensis are students who have been admitted to undergraduate or graduate level education at a university or college (HF, Chapter 5, §10).
The employment is 20 procent (8 hours per week) during the period of 4 months from 15 September 2025 or upon agreement. You will be introduced and trained in your duties by experienced staff at Molecular Biology. When you carry out your duties, you will collaborate closely with experienced staff at Molecular Biology
