The Department of Diagnostics and Intervention welcomes applications for a postdoctoral researcher in the field of molecular epidemiology or biostatistics to an ongoing project on environmental exposures and breast cancer risk. The focus of the project is on analyses of high dimensional and longitudinal data. The position is for three years, starting summer/fall of 2026 or upon agreement.
Description of the project
The project focuses on environmental exposures occurring during so called “windows of susceptibility”, time periods when the breast is especially vulnerable to environmental exposures. The overall aim of the research program is to identify exposures occurring during such windows, determine their importance for breast cancer risk, and if they can be targeted for risk reduction.
Work responsibilities
As a postdoctoral researcher you will analyze exposure data and outcomes related to breast cancer and breast cancer risk factors. You will need to collaborate with researchers from different fields and also be able to work independently. Specific tasks include:

This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time at which the appointment decision is made. To be eligible for this specific position, you should also have:
Additional useful qualifications
Since appointment as a postdoctoral researcher is a career-development position for junior researchers, we are primarily interested in applicants who completed their doctoral degree no more than three years before the application deadline. Special reasons include absence due to illness, parental leave, clinical practice, appointments of trust for a trade union organization or other similar circumstances, and for relevant duties/assignments within the subject area.
We are looking for a highly motivated scientist who is quick to learn and has a demonstrated ability to work productively, both independently and in a multidisciplinary team. Preference will be given to candidates with superior analytic and communication skills.
