Umeå School of Architecture is hiring a Teaching Assistant for the spring semester of 2025. The position is part-time and temporary, starting in January. The application deadline is 20 November, 2024.
Job description
The position entails supporting a 3D-printing design project at UMA's BioForm Lab. This experimental project is part of research focused on using biobased waste to develop more sustainable building materials. As a teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Qualifications
To be eligible for the position you must be enrolled as an architecture student at Umeå School of Architecture, Umeå university and have completed at least 120 ECTS credits in the field.
You should have knowledge of architectural visual representation and modelling in both 2D and 3D, and preferably an interest in 3D printing technology. Previous experience with 3D printing is considered an advantage.
As a person, you are creative, solution-oriented, and goal-driven. You work well in a group setting, but you can also take own initiative and work independently.
Terms of Employment
The position will be 10 % of full-time for 6 months, starting on 15 January 2025, or as agreed. Working hours are flexible and will be agreed upon in with the research leader based on the student’s schedule.
