The Department of Informatics is now looking for a 1-2 teacher assistants/amanuenses. At our department, research and education are conducted with a focus on digitization of society, organizations and interaction. Digital technology has become an enabler for changed ways of living and doing business. At the department, we provide education both within independent courses and within our three undergraduate programs: The Systems Science program with a focus on design, interaction and innovation, Digital media production and the Behavioral Science program with a focus on IT environments. At advanced level, we offer two master's programs: IT Management and Human-Computer Interaction and Social Media. In our research, we study these changes and change processes and we study the interaction between humans and technology to understand technology's possibilities and its limitations. In our studies of digitization, we move in many contexts such as the public sector, media, games, entertainment, financial companies, entrepreneurship, IT companies, manufacturing industry and trade. The work as amanuens means that you will be employed by the university and that you can work in research projects, be part of our teaching or part of our lab environment. The tasks will be adapted to the applicant's profile and skills. The assignment will include work in our UX-lab.
About the employment
The employment as amanuens is part-time (15-30%) for 6-9 months starting according to agreement from autumn 2023. The employment must be completed in parallel with studies.
Eligibility
Eligible to be employed as an amanuens is a student who has been admitted to education at first level or advanced level within the university. The applicant must be accepted at one of the department of informatics education programs. You are eligible if you have completed at least 60 credits in one of our bachelor's programs or if you are accepted to one of our master's programs.
Qualifications
The tasks require both independence and cooperation skills. We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, flexible, structured and meticulous. If you have experience of tasks similar to those included in the position, it’s a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. The selection among applicants is made on the basis of the applicant's merits, experience in similar tasks and the perspective of being suitable for the position.
