The Department of Chemistry is looking for a research coordinator that will manage projects and other activities at the Computational Analytics Support Platform (CASP). Last application date is 2023-04-27.
Project description
The Computational Analytics Support Platform (CASP) aims to support researchers in understanding complex chemical and biological systems via application and development of advanced data driven and computer-based modelling tools and strategies. CASP provides support and training for life science researchers in the analysis of experimental data from a wide range of technologies including, but not limited to, primary downstream omics (metabolomics/proteomics), spectroscopy and imaging.
We have a panel of data scientists who offer their expertise to customers via several different types of support packages, as well as via tailored solutions. We are also involved in training of life science researchers at different levels, as well as promoting advanced data analytics knowledge in the scientific community via invited lectures, webinars etc. CASP customers come from Umeå university and SLU research groups and platforms, other universities in Sweden and Europe, as well as from industry.
Work tasks
As a research coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all internal and external activities at CASP. The tasks include, but are not limited to:
It is important that you collaborate effectively with our CASP customers, keep strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders and serve as a valuable support to the rest of the CASP team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person who has a doctoral degree in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemometrics or relevant subject area.
