We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our new research laboratory Stat4Reg (, where we are devoted at developing novel statistical methods for the analysis of large databases linking health and socio-economic registers.

Stat4Reg, located at the Department of Statistics, Umeå School of Business and Economics, is dedicated at developing statistical methods and software for the analysis of large micro-databases (record linkage data). A research theme that we are now developing concerns the study of life trajectories (life course studies). Life trajectories within different social and health domains can be defined and observed for the whole population thanks to the availability in the Nordic countries of record linkage register data. Studies of life trajectories are, however, in their infancy, and there is an urgent need for relevant methods.
