Postdoctoral fellow in psychology with specialisation in sport psychology and/or health psychology

We are now seeking a postdoctoral fellow within the Department of Psychology. The position is full-time and limited to two years. The position is financed by secured project funds. Delivery of teaching may be included up thttps://www.umu.se/institutionen-for-psykologi/o a maximum of 20% of the time within the position.

Description of the project

The duties will include work within a project that explores time perception in sports and physical activity with a focus on health and performance.

The research project will involve a variety of research methods, including psychophysiological data collection in a laboratory, health promotion initiatives in society, and work with large databases. The position is within the Department of Psychology.

Qualifications

  • PhD in psychology or other relevant subject areas.
  • Doctoral degree, completed no more than three years before the end of the application period (unless there are special reasons such as parental leave, military service, sick leave, etc.)
  • No previous postdoctoral position (under the postdoctoral agreement) for more than one year in the same or related subject area at the same higher education institution/authority.
  • Documented knowledge and research qualifications in health psychology, sports psychology, clinical psychology, cognitive/experimental psychology, or related areas such as health education and public health sciences.
  • The position requires good knowledge of English in both speech and writing.
  • It´s good if you have good knowledge of both quantitative method, statistical analysis, and qualitative interview and analysis methodology.
  • Meritorious is competence in psychophysiology and experience of working with large databases.
