We are looking for a senior research engineer who will analyse field data on and write a report of geomorphic and hydraulic monitoring pre- and post- restoration of streams in northern Sweden. It is a full-time position limited to 4.5 months. Start date is August or September 2021, according to agreement. Application deadline is May 27, 2021.

The data includes detailed surveys of channel morphology and instream wood in addition to detailed flow velocity data. The research engineer will calculate and analyze differences in geomorphic and hydraulic complexity among reaches to determine effect of various factors, e.g. location relative to the former highest coastline, on post-restoration adjustment. The selected candidate is responsible for writing a report together with the supervisor on the findings.

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in fluvial geomorphology, earth science, physical geography, or similar.
