The Faculty of Medicine, which consists of 13 departments, is responsible for biomedical research and courses in the field of nursing and health care and has an extensive research and graduate education in more than 80 subjects.

The Department of Clinical Microbiology  is looking for a research coordinator 

Description

The work is linked to the management of the Umeå Centre for Microbial Research (UCMR) and requires excellent management skills and the desire to work in a fast pace.

The tasks include coordination of several different activities associated with the mission of UCMR, including:

  • to support the UCMR leadership in developing and implementing a wide range of networking activities
  • to communicate internally and externally the UCMR research and other activities to diverse audiences
  • to organize UCMR events and carry out the administrative work.

Qualifications

For the assignment, you are required to have a master degree preferably in life science or related field.

Key qualifications for the role include a strong skill in science communication and research management in combination with a good understanding of the UCMR research areas; excellence in communicating complex scientific matters to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, both in English and in Swedish; strong ability to produce science-related and strategic texts.

The main qualifications for the role of as a research coordinator include an established background in science communication and research administration.
