The Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics conducts research in computational mathematics, discrete mathematics, mathematical modelling and analysis, and mathematical statistics. Our teaching is conducted at all levels and includes mathematics, mathematical statistics and computational science. Among our partners are international research groups, academic institutions, public organizations and companies.
The Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics invites applicants for a position as senior research engineer in mathematical statistics. The position is limited to two years and requires a PhD degree in mathematical statistics, statistics, or similar. Last application date is 2020-03-21.
Work description
The candidate will work with development of inferential methods for spatial point processes under restrictions and functional data analysis. It will also imply work with implementation of the developed methods in the software language R. You will work in close collaboration with researchers at the department.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the position you are required to hold a PhD degree in mathematical statistics, statistics or similar. The candidate is expected to have documented experience of:
