The studies will focus on the investigation, understanding and development of new types of electronic and light-emitting devices based on organic electronic materials. The research group, The Organic Photonics and Electronics Group, is currently developing a number of different devices, such as light-emitting electrochemical cells, solar cells and field-effect transistors. More information on the group's ongoing research activities is available at: www.opeg-umu.se

As a PhD student you will be active in research, study doctoral courses, and possibly participate in the teaching of courses at the undergraduate level. The position of PhD student is aimed at attaining a PhD degree and the main task is thus the postgraduate education, which includes participation in research projects as well as postgraduate courses.
